Power Plants & Utilities

External advisor to the owners of a new nuclear power plant.  Analyzed cost and schedule issues, including a critical path analysis of offsite, modular components.  Assisted with a prudence review in front of the Public Service Commission—and, following the bankruptcy of the contractor, performed an assessment of the cost and schedule estimate-to-complete. Sports Stadiums & Arenas

Worked for the surety of a defaulted façade subcontractor on a new stadium project. The project experienced delays and resequencing which impacted the façade subcontractor’s work and the project as a whole. Our scope of work consisted of developing and maintaining a recovery schedule for the façade subcontractor’s scope of work. Other stadium experience includes: FIFA, NBA, NFL, Multi-Purpose Facilities, Other.

Oil & Gas Projects

Worked for the owner of an offshore drilling platform to review an acceleration claim put forth by the hull fabrication contractor.  Reviewed project records for contractor-caused inefficiencies that contributed to the need to accelerate the Project schedule.  Assisted in developing presentation materials and supported an international arbitration.  Other oil & gas experience: Offshore Installations, Pipelines, Refineries, Liquefied Natural Gas, Global Supply Chain Disruption, Other.

Educational Facilities

Worked for the general contractor of an academic facility that included classrooms with hospital-like environments, athletic amenities, a conference center, an auditorium, and a parking garage.  Performed a critical path analysis of the Project schedule quantifying “should-have-been” time extensions, and a damages analysis quantifying the resultant accelerations costs incurred in order to complete the project on time. Other educational facility experience: University Labs, Research Buildings, Student Forums, Other.

Performed project monitoring and oversight on behalf of a project management firm for the exterior enclosure subcontractor of a 40-story high-rise project.  Visited the site weekly to monitor progress and prepare weekly site visit reports for the client's review and reporting to others, including the surety and general contractor. Other major infrastructure experience: Interstate Tollway Bridges, Highway Interchanges, Other (Public & Private).

Healthcare Construction

Worked for an electrical subcontractor on a complex, hospital tower project.  Helped the subcontractor assess damages associated with lost labor productivity, additional supervision costs, and labor rate escalation due to inefficiencies caused by others, the abandonment of the project’s Building Information Model (BIM) process, and the impact of certain changes. Other healthcare experience: Core & Shell, Interior Build-Out, Pharmaceuticals, Senior Living, Other.

Government & Defense

Worked for the contractor of a government-owned fabrication facility.  Analyzed critical and near critical path delays to offsite, modular components, and reviewed vendor files and other records to understand the highly technical issues on the project, including first-of-a-kind design challenges and evolving technology, among others.
